Cautious re-opening of Churches

We will soon be re-opening the Churches. The Sunday obligation has not been re-instated. It is important to note that this will not be a return to normal. There will be many strict guidelines in place to keep everyone safe as possible as we move into this new stage of dealing with COVID-19

We will soon be re-opening the Churches. The Sunday obligation has not been re-instated. It is important to note that this will not be a return to normal. There will be many strict guidelines in place to keep everyone safe as possible as we move into this new stage of dealing with COVID-19

  • Due to social distancing measures, there will be limited numbers allowed in the Church. You may be asked to wait outside by one of th volunteer stewards.

  • Hand sanitiser must be used on entry and exit from the Church.

  • You will need to wear a face mask.

  • There will be no singing, sign of peace or opportunity to congregate before or after Mass.

  • Communion will be distributed after the final dismissal of the Mass. Communion can only be received in the hand.

  • Toilets will not be open.

Mass Times: Starting from Saturday 11th July 2020

St Agnes Cathlic Church, Huyton

  • Saturday 5:30pm

  • Sunday 9:30am and 11am

  • Wednesday: 7:30pm

St Aidan Catholic Church, Huyton

  • Friday 12pm

Rather than varying the Mass you attend each week, we ask you to pick a single Mass time that you will be attending for the duration of these special circumstances.

While we know the measures are strict, we look forward to welcoming those who feel they would like to attend Mass again. We understand that for many, it is not just yet the time; everyone remains a valued member of the community.
