Pilgrimage to Medjugorje

This September a group of 20+ parishioners went on a week's pilgrimage to Medjugorje. They have had a busy, prayerfilled, but equally fun trip, fitting in as many of the sites and sounds that Medjugorje has to offer, as possible.

Delays at border control in the 29C heat did not dampen the groups spirits as they arrived and began thier week's journey with a visit to the Ceneclolo Community.
The group, who had taken clothes, stationary and other items, were able to donate these when they visited Mother's Village and celebrated Mass there.
That evening they went to The Blue Cross (Apparition site at the bottom of Apparition Hill) to pray the rosary.
A trip to a Franciscan church (Siroki Brijeg) allowed the group to listen to a talk on the 60 Franciscans who were killed there by the communist regime; they celebrated Mass remembering them. The rest of the day was spent site seeing in Mostar.
Part of the joys of these trips is meeting up with other pilgrims. The group linked up with a group from Cork, Ireland, where some woke at 5 am to climb Cross Mountain (Krizsvac) and celebrate the Stations of the Cross.
We welcome them back today and wish them a safe and smooth journey home.
