Fabulous Joint Parish BBQ

The first joint parish BBQ proved a great success on Sunday 12th July and a wonderful day was had by all. Having prayed very hard for sunshine, the weather stayed dry for us and we all managed to enjoy the beautiful gardens and al fresco dining. The men, donned in thier hawian shirts, did us proud and cooked up a storm of sausages and burgers and more sausages and burgers!!

While we all ate and mingled, the Huyton Ukelele Band kept us all entertained. It was lovely to see the little ones dancing to the songs and others singing along. The children had a ball, leaving the adults to enjoy a glass or two of wine.  Working together, everyone contributed to a fantastic day of food, fun and friends.

It was really wonderful to be able to come together and celebrate the bucket fulls of goodness that Fr. Anton said we each bring to our community. This was more than evident in all the hard work, time and effort people put in to organising the day, setting up, cooking, selling raffle tickets, serving food, making teas, entertaining us and cleaning up afterwards. We are a truly blessed community and days like this make us all feel part of a very special extended family. Thank you to everyone who contributed in any way they could and thank you to everyone for coming and making it such a happy and funfilled occassion. We look forward to the next occassion that will bring us all together.
